We create products that work, are kind to the planet and based in science. We believe you shouldn’t have to sacrifice your values to have high-performance products that give you long-lasting results. Our products are cruelty-free, sustainable and give you the results you’re after!

A buzz word, we know, but we consider the word transparency something to aspire to and encourage you to hold us accountable. Our founder, Raquela Cheesmond MSc in Biochemistry has spent years researching the true value of sustainable skincare. If you need any help uncovering any misconceptions or have a question for us, she can answer them for you. Shoot us an email at [email protected]

As passionate animal lovers and advocates for animal welfare, we are proudly PETA certified cruelty-free and vegan. We see absolutely no reason to test our products on or use any ingredients derived from animals, when there is an abundance of skincare technology and ingredients available to produce high-performance products that are 100% vegan.

At Étymologie we seek not only to empower through exceptional skincare functionality, but also by giving back. 4% of the proceeds from our Miracle Oil sales are donated to the NGO Artistri Sud to support their mission to empower women in developing countries through entrepreneurship.

When you choose Étymologie you choose more than just a skincare brand. You choose to support a business run by women for women. Étymologie products are designed by female scientists committed to empowering women to embrace their unique, natural beauty, wherever and whoever they may be.

These women are textile producers from Vietnam who create products using hemp and natural dyes. They took part in Artistri Sud’s 2018 ASSET program where they learned colour theory and how to combine colours to produce more appealing products and increase sales of their products. This program provides them with concrete tools to help them increase their revenues sustainably, as well giving them an opportunity to see themselves as competent learners. They emerge from the program with confidence and optimism about what they can now accomplish in their lives with their new skills.
